Christmas Time is Here

I love this time of year! It is by far my favorite. Everything is decorated, the snow is pretty, yes I hate driving in it, but it still is pretty!

Starbucks has all there Christmas stuff out so work is always fun, all so festive.Β  You can’t forget the Christmas music either. I probably start listening to it at the beginning of November. Yes I know it’s early for some of you and you think it’s wrong, but I can’t help it, I love Christmas time!

We have the same traditions every year. Christmas Eve we have the amazing whiskey shrimp dinner, then my family and I open one present and it is always new pajamas. On Christmas Day my mom wakes all of us up with a song that goes a little something like this, “You gotta get up, you gotta get up, it’s Christmas Morning” that is are que to run downstairs because it’s present time. πŸ™‚ I’m usually the first one down the stairs because unlike my sisters i’m an early riser, especially that one day a year. We then divide the presents to the right people and take turns opening them. It’s usually youngest to oldest or oldest to youngest. I like the youngest to oldest years because then I get to go first! haha. After we’re done some friends and families come over and we have brunch together and open more presents with each other. Then to complete the day by going to see a double feature at the movie theater. We have been doing that for as long as I can remember and I love it!

Today I was remember a Christmas morning memory. It was the day that Robbin fell. Let me explain. Well we started the morning with the song and all of us slowly but surely got up and made our way downstairs. All of us were happy and enjoying our time and started to pass out presents. I look up and all of a sudden our Christmas tree is tumbling down towards the ground. I then proceed to find Robbin all mangled inside of the tree. πŸ™‚ When Robbin was passing out presents I guess she wanted to give the Christmas tree a hug and took that sucker down! haha. Well my family thought it was pretty funny so we laughed but don’t worry we made sure she was okay first πŸ˜‰ Well Robbin was embarrassed/felt bad so she went running down to her room crying. One of us went down and talked to her to calm her down and everything was back to normal,we apologized to her and continued with our Christmas morning.

Well a year went by and then it was time to decorate for Christmas again. So my dad went and pulled out or Christmas tree and all the decorations. My mom started putting the tree up but something just wasn’t right. The tree was all mangled and the branches weren’t fitting right and all going different ways. All of us couldn’t figure out for the longest time what was wrong with it. Then I remembered and shouted, “I remember! Robbin fell into the Christmas tree last year remember?!” Oh yeah! Then we had a good laugh and knew we had to go get a new Christmas tree.

That is by far one of my favorite Christmas memories! I love you Robbin! You’re awesome!!
